Arhan Bagati has never been content to simply do the work quietly. Arhan is a regular contributor to some of India’s most prominent media platforms, including Hindustan Times, Republic World, Firstpost, The Quint, and Greater Kashmir, where he writes a column called “The Horizon”.
What ties his writing together is not a single topic, but a single purpose: to present Kashmir’s authentic reality and India’s complex challenges with honesty, nuance, and a deep sense of responsibility. Arhan has carried his ideas to live platforms as well. He delivered a TEDx talk at TEDxYouth@JPIS (Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur), speaking to young audiences about leadership, purpose, and the role of the next generation in shaping India’s future.

J&K Government Award for Social Reforms & Empowerment — Republic Day, January 26, 2026 In one of the most meaningful recognitions of his career, Arhan Bagati was honoured by the Jammu & Kashmir Government with the Award for Social Reforms & Empowerment on Republic Day 2026. Announced on the eve of Republic Day, January 25, 2026, the award recognised individuals with sustained, long-term contributions to Jammu & Kashmir. Among the 56 individuals and institutions honoured, Arhan stood out as the youngest recipient at age 26 — acknowledged for his grassroots development work through KYARI, and his tireless efforts to empower communities across the region.
ET Indo Global Leaders Award – Excellence in Social Impact (August 2025): Arhan received this award in Dubai, presented by actor Kunal Kapoor, recognising the scale and long-term impact of his work through KYARI in Jammu & Kashmir.
Hindustan Times 30 Under 30 – Social Impact Leader (February 2025): Arhan was recognised among India’s leading young changemakers for his sustained grassroots and policy-driven work, especially through KYARI and his para-sports initiatives.
